These vacancies are being filled on a Temporary Limited not-to-exceed March 31, 2021 and may be extended to the maximum period allowed by law without further competition. Please see (see 5 CFR part 316). Please see provisions outlined in this announcement pertaining to the conditions of Temporary employment. Please see the following for more information:
here To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of the announcement. Experience Requirement:
Applicants must have three years of progressively responsible general experience, with one year equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-04). General experience must demonstrate the following:
analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data; and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and communicating effectively orally and in writing. OR You may qualify based on education:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study (e.g., 120 semester hours or the equivalent) in any field leading to an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, or possess an undergraduate degree in any field from an accredited college or university. OR Applicants may combine education and general experience to qualify at the (GS-05) level:
If you have some, but not all, of the education AND general experience as described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable education and experience that you do have. To do so, first calculate the percentage of qualifying education you have as a percentage of the education required. Next, calculate the percentage of general experience you have as a percentage of the experience required. Then, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% for you to qualify for the position at the grade GS-5 level. For example, an applicant who has 2 years of general experience and 60 semester hours of college semester hours of education (i.e., 50% of education required) and 6 months of acceptable general experience (i.e., 50% of the experience required) would satisfy the qualification requirements for the position. If you qualify based on education or a combination of education and general experience, you must submit a copy of your official or unofficial college transcript with your application. Note:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience that you document, including volunteer experience. Notice to Applicants:
It is the policy of the Government not to deny employment simply because an individual has been unemployed or has had financial difficulties that have arisen through no fault of the individual. Information about an individual's employment experience will be used only to determine the person's qualifications and to assess his or her relative level of knowledge, skill and ability. Although an individual's personal conduct may be relevant in any employment decision, including conduct during periods of unemployment or evidence of dishonesty in handling financial matters, financial difficulty that has arisen through no fault of the individual will generally not in and of itself be the basis of an unfavorable suitability or fitness determination. This job opportunity announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies.
